Job Description About this opportunity We are seeking an experienced Machine Operator for our new site at Horsley Park.
The role reports to the Mechatronics Engineer and will assist in operating the high-speed filling line (HSL) and Standard (SL) on a day-to-day basis.
This will include HSL & Standard Line set up, feeding the line with packaging resources, monitoring the line while it is running and assisting in start-up and shut down of production runs.
You will also be responsible for fault finding, preventative maintenance and modifications to improve overall production throughput.
Your key responsibilities will be to: Assist Mechatronics Technician with HSL /SL set up, start up, efficient and effective running, changeovers and shutting down.
Running the line when competent to do so.
Following HSL/SL jobbing specifications to standard.
Rectify or notify Mechatronics Engineer if product not in spec Manually loading packaging materials into hoppers as needed Operating HSL/SL to minimise raw materials and packaging wastage Keeping HSL/SL production area clean and free of waste and other potential hazards Working with Mechatronics Technicians to optimise the HSL operation through continuous improvement and ongoing preventative maintenance actions Assisting Mechatronics Technicians and Maintenance staff with maintenance functions Recording filling line, production and batch information for accreditation and traceability Undertakes basic preventative maintenance on filling lines Undertakes equipment adjustments while in operation to improve productivity throughput Unloading palleted or other packaging materials with forklift Your skills and experience To be successful in this role, you'll have: Mechanically minded or trade qualification in a mechanical field Competent in utilising computers to operate mechanical equipment – settings, adjustments, changeovers Equipment operational efficiency and effectiveness data entry Utilisation of MS office key applications - particularly spreadsheets Ability to understand and use workplace functional software Ideally 3- 5 years' experience in a technical orientated materials handling or fast paced production environment Previous experience in setting and operating high volume processing equipment is highly regarded Sound working/functional knowledge of SAP system Qualifications Mechanical trade qualification desirable but not essential Forklift license desirable but not essential Additional Information About us Our vision is to lead the circular economy through packaging, reuse and recycling solutions.
