About the Opportunity
We're seeking a Finance and Administrative Officer to play a vital role in supporting the Centre's financial, HR, and operational functions.
* Maintain accurate financial records, including account reconciliation and audit preparation
* Assist in preparing General Ledger reconciliations and processing monthly/yearly journals
* Support the drafting of grant, sponsorship, and partnership agreements
* Overssee budgets, allowances, and key financial registers
* Provide general administrative and operational support
* Prepare employment, affiliation, and contractor agreements, as well as casual academic schedules
* Facilitate recruitment, onboarding, and offboarding processes for employees, fellows, volunteers, and affiliates
* Ensure effective coordination of WHS inductions
About You
Qualifications in Finance and/or HR or equivalent experience gained through education, training, and hands-on roles.
* Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with a customer-focused approach to handling diverse enquiries
* The ability to work independently and collaboratively, exercising sound judgment to navigate day-to-day challenges
* Meticulous attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and consistency in all tasks
* Strong critical thinking skills, with the ability to prioritise effectively during peak periods
* Working knowledge of higher education institutions or think tanks (highly desirable)
