Join a leading renewables business developing, building and operating a solid portfolio of large scale projects About the role: As Legal Counsel, you will play a critical role in supporting the company's growth: Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating complex agreements relevant to renewable energy projects like power purchase agreements, grid and supply agreements, MoUs, O&M, D&C and EPC contracts, joint venture, M&As, etc. Handling energy-related procurement, claims and disputes matters. Supporting the EPC team in negotiating and drafting subcontract documentation, assessing contractual risk and developing solid commercial agreements. Providing legally sound advice that appropriately balances relevant commercial and strategic considerations and legal risks arising from the company’s development pipeline and operational portfolio. Experience/Qualifications required: Bachelors degree in Law, Masters degree is highly regarded Valid practicing certificate 3 to 6 years of post-qualification experience, ideally within the renewable energy, power generation or infrastructure sectors. Proven track record in drafting, managing, and negotiating complex contracts like EPC, PPAs, D&C, O&M, etc. Experience working with external counsel and managing legal budgets. Strong communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work autonomously and within a team. Strategic thinking and problem-solving skills to anticipate potential legal issues and develop mitigation strategies.
