Position Purpose
The Head of Business Development Manager is responsible for a team of National Business Development Managers working across Australia and New Zealand. The team is responsible for business development and market development of key focus market segments, namely Corporate Office, Real Estate Investment trusts, Education, Health and Aged care, Hospitality, and Retail. This in turn supports the frontline sales team in their day-to-day interaction with key influencers within those market segments.
This role will support the team to develop and execute sales strategies to maximize Interface’s market presence and capitalize on sales opportunities within the focused market segments. The role also assumes responsibility for the day-to-day relationship with our New Zealand sole distributor, INZIDE.
Areas of Responsibility
1. Drive team to deliver KPI’s – Sales Revenue and Margin targets
2. Day-to-day people management
3. Setting the strategic direction
4. Liaison with Marketing to support approach to target market segments
5. Direct responsibility for an emerging market segment – Build to Rent or Retail
6. Developing strong relationships with end users or key players within the target segment
7. Setting the strategic direction with Inzide
Qualifications and Experience Required
1. 10 years sales team leadership experience
2. Business development experience
3. Knowledge of property market / construction industry / Education / healthcare is an advantage
4. Proficiency in all current Microsoft products – Word, Excel, Outlook & PowerPoint
5. Experience using CRM – Salesforce
6. Team leadership/ performance management experience
7. Excellent communication & negotiation skills
8. Commercial acumen, market insight, and project management skills
