The Housing Program Office is responsible for the planning, design management and delivery of the Northern Territory's (NT) urban and remote housing infrastructure program, land tenure and remote lands planning.
As a Property Contract Officer, your primary objective is to manage the urban and remote housing asset portfolio in the Barkly Region, through condition assessment, repairs and maintenance, refurbishment, replacement or construction of new assets. You are also responsible for maintaining compliance with relevant statutory regulations through delivery of a high level of services to the portfolio, including performance of contracts, contractors and programs together with providing high level, culturally sensitive communication to key community, government and non-government organisations and stakeholders.
Ideally you will have a relevant qualification (awarded by an Australian institution) or experience in a field of technical work, however, sound knowledge and understanding of construction, maintenance and management of residential properties will also support your application for the role.
The remuneration package for this position is $118,705 - $129,078 plus 11% superannuation and 17.5% leave loading, as well as 6 weeks recreational leave (on an accrued basis) and 3 weeks personal leave, 2 of which accrues, annually.
