About the role We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Property Maintenance Officer to join our team. The ideal candidate will work under the direction of the Property Team Coordinator, ensuring the upkeep and functionality of school facilities and grounds. This role requires a proactive approach to maintenance, repairs, and liaising with contractors to maintain a safe and welcoming environment. This position is available as a full-time role. For those interested, part of the full-time equivalent (FTE) could involve bus driving duties. Key Responsibilities: Perform or arrange necessary repairs and maintenance of equipment. Conduct building maintenance tasks such as repairing locks, doors, furniture, light fittings, and plumbing; patching holes; touch-up painting; and assisting with renovations and refurbishments. Prepare and maintain play areas, grassed areas, and sports fields, including line marking. Plant and maintain trees, shrubs, and gardens. Liaise with grounds and property sub-contractors. Report non-programmed maintenance needs to the Property Team Coordinator. (For those who are open to driving buses) Driving school buses to transport students to and from school at the beginning and/or the end of the school day or to and from excursions. Relevant experience in maintenance and building repair. Ability to perform a variety of maintenance tasks. Strong communication and teamwork skills. Knowledge of Work Health and Safety standards. First aid qualified (or willingness to obtain). (For those who are open to driving buses) Holding a LR, MR or HR Driver Licence (or willingness to upgrade with our support). (For those who are open to driving buses) Experience in driving a school or public transport bus will be highly regarded. The commencement of this position will be by negotiation.
