You will be responsible for leading the estimating team and take charge of pricing and tendering on prospective projects. The Opportunity: Lead a team of estimators based in our Brisbane, Perth and Sydney offices. Take the lead in preparing and delivering tender and expressions of interest (EOI) documentation, focusing on cost analysis and strategic planning. Oversee and track the progress of project team members, ensuring they reach milestones and deliver exceptional results. Undertake cost tracking, making sure projects stay within budget and reporting updates to senior management. Collaborate with clients, vendors, other departments, and supervisors to formulate accurate estimates and resolve any issues that arise. Translate conceptual proposals into detailed and precise estimates that will guide our management team in planning, organising, and scheduling work effectively. Embrace a continuous improvement mindset and implement innovative practices that will elevate our future projects. Uphold our unwavering commitment to health, safety, environment, and quality (HSEQ) policies in all aspects of your work. Assist our Directors & Senior Managers in other business development and tendering initiatives as required. Share your knowledge generously and mentor our team members, helping them reach their full potential. Assist Liberty personnel and participate in marketing events, business development opportunities, and industry conferences from time to time. About You: Tertiary qualifications and a minimum of 15 years of hands-on experience in estimating within the areas of construction, demolition, civil, or remediation. Proven track record of strategic estimating and cost recoverability. Estimating team leadership experience. Strong organisational and administrative skills. You thrive in a team environment, collaborating with colleagues to achieve outstanding results. You're willing to go the extra mile and travel as required, bringing your estimating expertise to projects across different locations. You're well-versed in estimating software and proficient in Microsoft Excel, Project, and Publisher. Your ability to transform complex problems into structured solutions sets you apart. You're a proactive problem-solver who understands the impact of each challenge on the overall project.
