About the role:
You will provide important oversight and assurance to ensure the Enhanced Defence High Frequency Communications System (EDHFCS) software elements are successfully delivered.
What will you be involved in:
1. Oversee development and support of JP9101 Software elements in support of EDHFCS acquisition
2. Provide governance to ensure EDHFCS Software systems are met through the acquisition process
3. Develop, manage, and maintain the JP9101 Software Management artefacts across Acquisition, Support, and Legacy Support contracts
4. Provision of formal Engineering advice to the JP9101 Engineering Manager regarding project software development and software management activities, across all relevant contracts
5. Collaborate with the wider JP9101 Team to provide software management input across all discipline streams and contracts
6. Review and provide software system feedback on contract deliverables in order to support the implementation of the EDHFCS solution
7. Provide assurance that software procurement and support under JP9101 meets all relevant standards and regulations
8. Ensure that interoperability and interfacing requirements for software are met
9. Liaise with SMEs for any necessary specialist advice where required when reviewing Contract Data Requirements List (CDRL) and / or participating in systems engineering activities
What we would like from you:
10. Must be an AU Citizen and hold a (pre-existing / currently valid) NV1 AGSVA Security Clearance
11. Experience in developing and reviewing technical / engineering artefacts and documentation
12. Demonstrable experience in working with software development projects using Agile methodology in relation to platforms relevant to Defence combat systems
13. Knowledge of High Frequency (HF) Communications, Telecommunications and Networking is highly desirable
14. At least 5 years of experience as a Software Engineer
15. Knowledge and experience in ASDEFCON contract suite, and proficiency in reviewing Contract Deliverable Requirements List (CDRL) documentation is highly desirable
