We’re moving forward and we want you to come along for the ride.About the opportunityJoining our Retail Data and Insights team, as Retail Data & Insights Analyst you will assist in building and generating robust, data-led, customer, geography, and market reporting insights that help inform Retail strategies and plans as well as support broader business insight generation.What you’ll deliver with usWorking collaboratively with our Retail, Finance, and Marketing teams, you will provide key data and insights required to support effective and customer-driven business decisions. You will also analyse current and potential Retail trends and behaviours with the end goal of finding and driving new customer and market opportunities for Australia Post.As part of this role, you will help build key Retail reporting data assets and visualisations that will be used across the organisation. Key to this will be the ability to leverage data sets across the Australia Post business to create automated and robust analytical insights. You’ll also:Analyse large, multi-dimensional datasets using a range of analytical techniques identifying actionable insights and recommendations.Create detailed reports and visualizations using Tableau and/or Power BI to support data-driven decision-making.Assist in the creation and maintenance of organisational data models that meet immediate and future needs.About youYou have a strong ability to grasp reporting with clarity and simplicity, going beyond simply generating outputs to deeply engage with what the data reveals. You demonstrate a keen interest in identifying discrepancies and uncovering details, ensuring accuracy and relevance. With a talent for gathering insights, you can effectively explain findings, telling a compelling story and journey behind the data to drive meaningful understanding.You’ll also need:3-5 years’ experience within Analytics/ReportingProven ability to analyse complex problems, identify critical issues and quickly develop strategies for delivering solutionsExperience in collecting, integrating, standardising and optimising complex, large, and varied data sets for analysisExperience in building reporting data solutions, preferably using Google Cloud Platform (GCP), with strong proficiency in report visualisation with Tableau, Looker or Power BISkilled in advanced database querying (SQL), analysing and automation approaches.Strong verbal & written communication skills, including presentations for executive management.How we’ll deliver for youJoin one of the most culturally and linguistically diverse workforces in Australia, where we’re all ages, genders and come from all walks of life.We deliver on our values of Trust, Inclusivity, Empowerment, and Safety every day.
