The Nursing Director will be responsible for driving community-based services and models of care across the continuum of care for children and families. The role is accountable for nursing leadership, innovation, and excellence in the continuum of care for children and families across the Townsville and Hospital and Health Service.The Nursing Director will take the lead role in implementing the Queensland Government Putting Queensland Kids First Strategy and initiatives within THHS. This role will be sitting on a statewide leadership group, connecting in with other ADON roles to progress the child health agenda - including models of care, growth of workforce and training needs. The role will also collaborate with government and non-government agencies at a local and state level to integrate child health services.
