12 month opportunity Hybrid Working Model- Sydney based role currently 2-3 days per week in office Develop and execute strategic and innovative category solutions How will I help? Join our Banking Services and Group Functions team as a Category Manager and play a key role in supporting our dynamic BT Financial Group (BT) team. Your Wealth Management portfolio will include Investment, Super & Retirement products allowing you to drive value and help create innovative solutions for BT customers through novel category strategies. Additionally, you'll have the opportunity to support other portfolios, broadening your impact and versatility within our dynamic and supportive environment. The purpose of your role will be to develop and execute strategic and innovative category solutions. Your role is required to build on external partnerships to deliver sustainable value whilst collaborating with internal business partners to deliver. Proven experience in delivering complex projects and managing multiple cross functional stakeholders will help you succeed in this role. Key Responsibilities include: Proactively take accountability for any categories of spend as assigned including all commodities / services included with the category, contracts and sourcing activities and partner relationships associated with the category Develop strategic category strategies Research and understand external market to provide key insights, collaborate with internal business partners to develop requirements and identify opportunities for cost savings, improved process efficiency and demand management Conduct and lead sourcing processes and direct negotiations Build on external partnerships creating long term strategic relationships Deliver sustainable commercial, financial and risk benefits to the Group Please note this is a 12 month opportunity. Experienced procurement professional within a corporate structure, ideally from a banking/ financial services Proven experience in category management, strategic sourcing and commercial negotiations Experience with contract management, third party management including risk and governance management A high level of stakeholder engagement A can-do attitude and willingness to further develop your procurement skills If you are an experienced Procurement professional with end to end procurement process knowledge and superior stakeholder management skills then we would love to hear from you!
