Talent International is currently recruiting for an APS5 and ASP6 Reportable Incidents - Intake Triage and Early Resolution Officers to work for one of our Federal Government clients based in Parramatta or Penrith. The position is 6-month contract role with the possibility of extension and are paying per hour + Super and per hour + Super.
hours per day and 38 hours per week.
Responsibility:
1. Assessing and monitoring reportable incidents and other regulatory intelligence, consistent with the National Disability Insurance Scheme Act 2013 and Rules.
2. Managing a caseload of reportable incidents in connection with the provision of supports and services by Registered NDIS providers, including the assessment of complex incidents (including deaths of people with disability) and escalating incidents for investigation or other action where necessary.
3. Identifying and providing advice on trends and issues through the oversight and review of reportable incidents received by the client.
4. Completing assessments of reportable incidents and other regulatory intelligence to a quality standard within agreed timeframes.
5. Providing education and training to providers in relation to identifying incidents, preventing, and effectively responding to abuse and neglect of people with disability, through the provision of information about the Commission's functions.
6. Developing and maintaining strategic relationships with a large and diverse range of external stakeholders, including state and territory counterparts, service providers, and regulatory bodies to facilitate the work of the function, and the client more broadly.
7. Preparing complex and/or sensitive correspondence and corporate documentation, including reports, briefings and submissions.
8. Contributing to a learning culture where expertise can be developed and appropriately shared.
9. Contributing to supporting and building capability in a team environment through input in team and national forums.
Requirements:
10. Must be an Australian Citizen.
11. Previous experience in a similar role would be ideal
12. Experience in disability, allied health, or aged care sectors
13. Must have a strong understanding of the disability sector
14. Proven experience working in a high-pressured environment
15. The ability to independently make decisions
16. Good problem-solving skills
