Job Description
We are currently looking for an experienced Senior Electronic Equipment Technician to join our team on a full-time basis.
Tasks and Responsibilities:
* Carry out diagnosis to identify necessary errors and repairs of Biological Safety Cabinets Class I, BSC Class II, BSC Class III, Fume Cupboard, Recirculating Fume Cupboard, Cytotoxic Drug safety Cabinets, Pressure Gauges, Pharmaceutical Isolators, Clean work station.
* Test the above equipment using a variety of diagnostic tools including visual inspection to evaluate serviceability and ensure functionality.
* Calibrate or replace damaged parts, broken wires and cracked cables or reassemble faulty electrical components and parts.
* Perform preventative and routine maintenance according to AU/NZ standards (i.e AS/ISO 14644 AS 1807 - AS 2252 - AS/NZS 2243 (2014) - AS 2252.5 (2017)).
* Correct or replace malfunctioning electronic units.
* Repair defective parts of cabinets and related equipment used to ensure they meet manufactory standards.
* Advise colleagues or designated staff member of correct operating procedures to prevent malfunction.
* Produce Service report & Test report in accordance with the relevant Standards after competition of each work.
* Maintain logs of repairs and other equipment-related matters.
* Manage stocks of electronic parts and components or coordinate the purchase of functional components to replace faulty electronic parts.
* Work according to health safety policy and guidelines.
Requirements
* Associate Degree, Advanced Diploma or Diploma in related area
* Minimum 2 years of relevant experience
* Able to perform analytical tasks with awareness of occupational health and safety regulations
* Mechanical competence and know-how
* Ability to break down often complex technical information into a language more easily digested by the general public
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills
* Analytical & Problem Solving Skills
* Fast learner to understand and apply new knowledge and techniques
Remuneration
This is a full-time position with competitive remuneration between: $70,000 - $80,000 p.a. plus superannuation for a 38-hour work week.
