The Maintenance Officer for the award winning Alamanda Palm Cove By Lancemore will be responsible for maintaining a proactive preventative maintenance program throughout the property.
About The Role:
* You will build a strong and collaborative relationship with all stakeholders in the business, including guests, Team Members and Body Corporate.
* Responsible for implementing cost control measures and administration duties.
* Regularly inspect all work areas to ensure they are organized and well maintained.
* Coordinate monthly stock takes to record and manage all stock and ensure sufficient stock is available.
* Purchase equipment and select contractors which meet quality standards and comply with budget guidelines.
* Manage a small team of maintenance staff.
* Coordinate and supervise external contractors when required.
* The successful applicant will also ensure company standards, systems, and procedures are being implemented and maintained.
About You:
* Positive and optimistic attitude – "we can do anything" approach.
* Experience with fixing day-to-day things – lights, taps, paint, etc.
* Logical approach to problem solving.
* Ability to coordinate contractors to get efficient results.
* Ability to understand what the customer sees – and ensure our property is always kept to the highest standard.
* Knowledge of a trade beneficial.
* Knowledge of relevant legislation, standards, and codes of practice highly regarded.
* Supervisory experience of maintenance activities in a fast-moving lean environment.
* Ideally experience in hotels.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Intermediate Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, and Outlook).
The successful applicant will have the support of the hotel's General Manager and The Lancemore Group's Management team to help them achieve success.
