Position Overview
Aviation Training Coordinator
Under the direction of the Site Manager (or delegate), and within the established Trident Services policies and procedures at the designated screening points within the Airport precinct, this role holds accountability for coordinating the programming and delivery of Aviation Security training at the site. This role is an advocate for Trident Services Aviation and Transport and is focused on being an integral part of the engaged aviation team. The role contributes to capability development and standards compliance of the APO team in protecting the skies and creating an exceptional ‘customer experience’ which will significantly contribute to our clients’ achieving their commercial objectives and promoting the desired work culture around the Trident Services Visions and Values of Trust, Resourceful, Ingenious, Dedicated, Expertise, Networking and Teamwork.
This position will be responsible for:
* Managing the delivery of Aviation Security Officer Training Packages to new and existing employees
* Supporting the Aviation Account Manager and onsite management team
* Assisting the team during both internal and external compliance audits
* Managing the conduct and scheduling of Systems Testing and Inspections
* Scheduling ongoing training sessions to ensure compliance with current legislation
* The regular review of all training materials to ensure continuous improvement
* Providing assistance and support in the professional development of Security Officers
* Management of training files and relevant documentation in compliance with Aviation Legislation
* The administration associated with the coordination and delivery of all courses including mentoring, conducting enrolments, assessments, collating documentation and feedback mechanisms
* Training and compliance quality assurance including auditing and reporting requirements
The ideal candidate will possess the following:
* Possession of a current Queensland Security License (compulsory requirement)
* A minimum of 2 years experience in a similar role
* The ability to mentor and support staff to achieve required performance levels
* A highly developed understanding of workplace safety and the ability to maintain a safe working environment
* Excellent communication skills with the ability to liaise with key stakeholders
* Excellent time management skills and demonstrated ability to multi-task
* Ability to work both autonomously and in a team environment
* Have a high degree of familiarity with the Microsoft Office suite of programs
* Certificate IV in Training & Assessment (TAE40122) plus TAELLN unit
* Certificate II in Security Operations and Aviation Transport Protection Qualification (OJT); or AV120613 Passenger Non-passenger Screening and AV120416 Checked Baggage Screening Qualification
* Ability to interpret and apply government legislation and regulations and to develop and implement policy, processes and procedures to ensure regulatory compliance
