The primary objective of this position is to ensure the effective planning, implementation and management
of daily site construction but not limited to Quality Control, Cost Control, scheduling and environmental and safety compliance.
Key Accountabilities
* Organisation and coordination of construction activities in accordance with construction schedules and programmes
* Manage construction workers and subcontractors to ensure the programme, safety, environmental and quality requirements are adhered to at all times
* Procurement and management of required plant, equipment and materials for allocated projects, ensuring they arrive in line with the programme
* In conjunction with the Project Manager, coordinate all requirements for temporary works
* Contribute to progress reports and relevant documentation to management and clients
* Identify the need for and participate in the development and review of risk assessments and SWMS's
Key Requirements
* Industry related trade qualification (cert III or above which is relevant to construstion, utilities infrastructure, tunnelling or building)
* Construction general safety induction card
* Demonstrated experience leading and managing safety and environment control
* Basic knowledge of MS Office
* Ability to interpret drawings, specifications, layout plans and schematic drawings
* Strong oral and written communication skills
To be considered for this role, you MUST have extensive experience with shaft construction or microtunnelling on water infrastructure projects in Australia.
