$115,899 - $130,733 up to 15.4% Superannuation Edinburgh - SA The Role This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced scientist or technologist to join the SED team helping to develop the next generation of airborne radar sensors. You will work with real and simulated sensor data to innovate, demonstrate and assess complex radar signal processing concepts designed to support ADF operations in contested and congested electromagnetic environments against challenging targets. This role is primarily based at DSTG Edinburgh. Some telework may be negotiated and you may be expected to support out-of-hours international teleconferences. The role may also involve interstate domestic travel. This role will require the ability to attain a Positive Vetting security clearance as a condition of engagement. Candidates may be approved to commence on a Negative Vetting 1 security clearance pending Positive Vetting approval. Candidate/s will be required to access US export controlled materiel. About our Team Resilient Radar Systems Group conducts research to develop and demonstrate resilient radar technologies and systems, including Active Electronically Scanned Array (AESA) radar, passive radar, multi-static and multi-function RF capabilities. To succeed in this role, you must be able to demonstrate the following: Experience related to systems that involve substantial software and/or integration components, e.g. software engineering projects. Advanced MATLAB skills and digital signal processing experience in a real-time sensor or related field. Knowledge or capability in research, design, analysis and/or testing of active electronic scanned arrays, radar and/or related signal processing techniques and underlying architectures or technologies. Ability to think strategically and operate with considerable autonomy to achieve corporate impact. Sound communication skills, both written and verbal, with an ability to foster effective stakeholder relationships. Adaptability and resilience in a dynamically changing environment.
