Bidgerdii Community Health Service – Rockhampton QLD
Bidgerdii Community Health Service is an Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community controlled primary health care service, operating in the Rockhampton and Central Queensland region for close to 30 years. The organisation is a bulk billing community-controlled health service, managed by a Board of Directors who oversee and manage the strategic directions of the service.
Bidgerdii provides comprehensive primary health and well-being services to the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community in the Rockhampton and surrounding regions. Bidgerdii collaborates with health and well-being partner agencies to enable integrated continuity of care for the community and continue to work to contribute to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health policy and program reform in Queensland.
About the Role
The primary focus of this position is to support the Finance team in effective financial management and administration of the Organisation. The role involves assisting the finance team to ensure financial transactions are efficiently processed and financial records are accurately maintained so that financial reporting supports management of Bidgerdii operations and governance requirements and further to assist staff with administrative matters.
Minimum Requirements
* Completion of a Certificate III in Business Administration or in the final stages of completion (or willingness to undertake).
* Experience in financial processes and reporting (preferably in the areas of Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Asset Maintenance).
* Strong knowledge or proficiency in accounting system (MYOB) and Microsoft (Word, Excel, etc.).
Other Practical Requirements
* Immunisation requirements – It is a condition of employment for this role for the employee to be, and remain, vaccinated against the following vaccine preventable diseases: Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Hepatitis B, Hepatitis A, and Pertussis (whooping cough) during their employment.
* Current CPR and First Aid Certificate.
* Satisfactory Police Criminal History Check.
* Current C Class Drivers Licence (QLD).
