Salary $73,150 per year based on level 3.4 in the Children Services Award 2020.Duties and Responsibilities :As an Educator, you are expected to be an active member of the team which provides and delivers high quality early childhood education and care to children.In consultation with the families and other Educators you will be responsible to implement the daily programs which reflect the Early Years Learning Framework outcomes (EYLF) and teaching decisions to assist children by scaffolding learning and achieving goals.You will assist the room manager in leading, guiding, and supporting a team which provides high quality early childhood education and care. Additionally providing ongoing support and assistance to the Senior Operational Manager and the Management Team.You will be required to document continuous reflection on all practices and procedures within your room. You will contribute to agendas and attend bio quarterly meetings for your team Educators.You will be required to uphold the policies and associated procedures and practices of Pachamama and lead by example.Be competent to be in day-to-day charge when you are required to open and close the service or when nominated by the nominated supervisor.Have adequate knowledge and understanding of the provision of education and care to children and have an ability to effectively supervise and manage the education and care service.Contribute to a positive team environment by supporting the room manager with performance review processes and fostering open communication and professional development throughout the year.Role model positive interactions with children and families and implement position behaviour guidance strategies with your team.Establish and Maintain Community Links to enhance the outcomes for children and built the connection with the wider community.Reporting and maintaining the occupational health and safety in the learning environment and ensuring you conduct daily and monthly workplace inspections and risk assessments and as per schedule provided.Ensure your following all children medical and allergy information provided and that they are up to date and accurate records are filed accordance with the regulations and law.Skills and Experience needed :Required 2 years Diploma in Children’s Services or equivalentMust have 12 months of experience as a responsible person to open and close the serviceMust have 2 years of sound knowledge and understanding of the Early Years Learning FrameworkHave a deep understanding of the national law and regulationsCurrent First Aid, Anaphylaxis and Asthma Management TrainingHow can I tell if this is for me?Displays excellent team collaboration skillsGreat computer and observation skillsExceptional communication and presentation
