Key Responsibilities
1. Ensure all deliveries are made on time and monitor driver credits.
2. Maintain vehicles, performing services as required.
3. Undertake staff evaluation, recruitment, and training.
4. Follow company procedures regarding issues raised about drivers.
5. Keep wages, budgets, and freight charges within guidelines.
6. Involve supervisors in daily discussions and receive feedback.
7. Coordinate efficient routing of trucks and staff for maximum delivery and service.
8. Regularly discuss customer requirements with Sales Representatives and driver feedback.
9. Attend daily credit meetings and identify credits.
Key Competencies, Skills, and Qualifications
1. Proven experience in people management.
2. Ability to communicate at all levels.
3. Good time management skills and ability to work under pressure.
4. Problem-solving skills, both externally and internally.
5. Knowledge of the food service industry.
6. AFFM accreditation.
7. Knowledge of HACCP and OH & S regulations, including BFM legislation.
8. Familiarity with routing systems and MFG PRO.
9. Good product knowledge and new customer acquisition skills.
10. MR/HR truck license (preferred).
