The HMC Group currently has offices in Perth, Kununurra, Broome, Karratha, and Adelaide, and has an expanding team of approximately 300 employees, with further and substantial business growth forecast over the next five years.The HMC Group is a collection of quality businesses under common ownership and has expanded rapidly in both geographic location and size of operations over the past 6 - 7 years.Enterprises within the Group include: Nexus Airlines – Western Australia's newest regional airline, servicing Western Australia and beyond.Aviair – One of Australia's largest and leading fixed wing general aviation operators with charter, scheduled services and scenic flights operating throughout the Kimberley and Pilbara regions for corporate, mining, government and tourism clients.HeliSpirit – HeliSpirit offers tourism helicopter services from eleven spectacular locations in the Kimberley, Pilbara, and Goldfields regions, as well as a range of corporate and charter helicopter services in the north west of WA.Australian Helicopter Academy – Providing commercial helicopter pilot training.About the Role As a Maintenance Watch / Line Engineer, you will be responsible to the Fleet Services Manager for the provision of overall coordination and technical liaison for Line Maintenance activities.Key Duties And Responsibilities Maximising the availability of serviceable aircraft by coordinating the timely rectification of defects for return to service of delayed aircraft.Monitor and manage the supply chain for afterhours AOG and operational critical defect requisitions to maximise aircraft availability.Advise Fleet Service Manager and AOC Operations Centre in a timely manner where defect rectification will impact flight schedule.View current deferred defects daily to ensure that corrective action is planned and completed.Make application to CASA for all MEL extension, PUS and special flight permits and communicate the outcome to Technical Services Manager and Operations in a timely manner.Consult with CAM and Flight Operations to authorise maintenance related ferry flights outside of normal working hours.Primary point of contact for aircrew technical support and maintain strong working relationship with flight crew to facilitate this.Develop and maintain a strong working relationship with the AOC Operations Centre and external organisations.Maintain a handover log as appropriate to ensure continuity of workflow.Other duties as reasonably directed by Fleet Services Manager.To Be Successful in This Role The successful applicant will have excellent verbal and written communication skills with a collaborative approach to teamwork and the following:B1 or B2 LAME with experience on Dash 8 - Q400.Comprehensive knowledge of the CAMO and AMO expositions and manual suites.Comprehensive knowledge of flight operations, air transport and PSEA Legislation.Extensive industry experience.Ability to obtain and hold an ASIC.What We Offer You An attractive salary / salary packaging benefits.A great team environment in a modern Rivervale office.Free onsite parking.Opportunities to travel with work and explore the Kimberley, as the role will require some travel to Group office locations.To apply, please submit a cover letter and resume outlining your relevant qualifications and experience.Only shortlisted applicants will be contacted. #J-18808-Ljbffr
