Queensland Rail is currently seeking a qualified and experienced Senior Rollingstock Assurance Officer to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity to provide expert technical advice on the overhaul and modification of passenger rolling stock and major components, helping ensure quality and safety in every step of the process.

Overview of tasks:
* Provide technical assistance and expert advice on rolling stock undergoing modification and overhaul.
* Conduct quality audits, inspections, and testing during the modification and overhaul processes.
* Monitor production progress, identify issues, and provide detailed reports to engineers and project managers.
* Assist contractor staff with commissioning and testing activities.
* Liaise with technical and trade staff, and other Queensland Rail departments, to resolve rolling stock issues.
What You’ll Bring:
* Solid knowledge of rolling stock operations, maintenance requirements, and repair processes.
* Proven experience implementing quality improvement principles to enhance rolling stock reliability and performance.
* Strong technical investigation, problem-solving, and testing skills, with the ability to deliver comprehensive reports.
* High level of initiative and autonomy and ability to work independently.
Qualifications Required:
Diploma of Mechanical Engineering or higher (qualifications must be verified and meet Australian requirements, accepted by Queensland Rail).
