The Opportunity: You'll lead a skilled team of Asset Inspectors, overseeing the condition assessments of bridges, culverts, and other transport infrastructure assets for a diverse range of clients, including councils, contractors, and state road authorities.
This exciting position offers a mix of responsibilities, from project and contractor management to hands-on site inspections, including both destructive and non-destructive testing.
Occasionally, you may be required to work night shifts or travel for inspections, and every day brings something new.
What you'll do: Lead a small, dedicated team of two Inspectors in the Sydney office.
We also have a number of bridge and structural engineers in our Sydney team who can provide additional support with inspections as required.
Provide comprehensive asset condition inspections across multiple sites.
Project management of typically small to medium-sized projects, ensuring seamless coordination with contractors and the on-time, on-budget delivery of results.
Engage in hands-on site work, project management, and reporting as required, providing end-to-end oversight.
Embrace a diverse range of projects, from local projects to opportunities further afield that require travel.
What You Bring: Minimum 7 years experience undertaking site inspections or managing inspection works, preferably in bridges or transport infrastructure.
Qualified as a civil/structural engineer, engineering technician, or with a trade background.
Proven leadership of a small team desirable.
Strong project management skills desirable.
Excellent communication skills to engage with clients and contractors.
Competent in the use of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and Outlook).
Experience on Vic Roads, TMR, or RMS/Tf NSW Road projects is desirable but not essential.
Other desirable, but not essential attributes are: Experience conducting Level 1, 2, and 3 condition assessments.
Experience on Vic Roads, TMR, or RMS/Tf NSW Road projects.
ARRB Level 1/2 Inspection Accreditation or similar.
Worksite Induction Card (White Card).
EWP plant operator ticket.
RIW certification.
First Aid certificate.
Confined Space certification.
Track Force certified.
Traffic management.
