About the Role Nature of position: Permanent, Full Time Location: Field based role in Greater Brisbane Region Reporting Line: Field Supervisor In this role you will be leading a two person crew. Your primary duties will be to dig holes & trenches, rod and rope conduits, haul cables, and set up safe working sites as per HSE standards. Key Objective The key objective of this position is to lead a small team in the day-to-day operations activities within the NBN Service Excellence contract. You will be responsible for the maintenance and installation of underground and internal communications assets. About You We are looking for an individual who has experience in a Field Team Leader role and can work in a diverse and complex environment. A self-starter who has a passion for delivering quality work first time every time. You will have the flexibility to travel to regional locations to assist other crews should work demand dictate. Skills and Experience Ensure all field work is of a high quality consistent with relevant HSE policies and procedures Civil works experience – Light to medium telecommunication civil experience Previous team leader experience Relevant field experience in survey, rod & roping, hauling Relevant technical qualifications FTTP, FTTN, FTTC, HFC Competent in reading and interpreting cable install plans Competent in utilising tablet devices Previous experience in Pipe Proving/Scoping for cable install Valid Driver's License Desired Qualifications NBN enAble Induction Asbestos Awareness Training RIIWHS302D - Implement traffic management plan First Aid & CPR Course HLTAID011 Identify, locate and protect underground services Construct underground telecommunications infrastructure Install underground enclosures and conduit Confined Space & Gas Test This role requires the Field Crew Leader to be aligned with the Service Stream quality auditing process to a baseline standard that will stand up to scrutiny by the client.
