The role is pivotal to EDPR's success, offering significant responsibility and internal visibility due to its direct involvement in and critical contribution to key FID processes for new renewable energy projects. Ideal candidates are resourceful, detail-oriented, and possess exceptional communication and analytical skills.ResponsibilitiesIdentify potential clients and other key partners relevant for PPA origination and develop these relationships to generate commercially relevant leads;Cultivate and maintain positive, long-term relationships with prospective clients to drive ongoing business development;Prepare commercial materials to effectively showcase EDPR projects to clients;Manage the PPA negotiations process by coordinating with internal multi-disciplinary teams including Project Development, M&A, Engineering or Energy Assessment;Draft and review term sheets, full-form PPAs or market representation contracts in collaboration with the Legal department to ensure optimal commercial terms are achieved;Perform quantitative analyses to support decision-making in relation to pricing, risk exposure and commercial terms under negotiation;Research routes-to-market for renewable energy projects and translate client needs, regulation, competition, and industry trends into actionable market strategies;Prepare materials (presentations, analyses, approval documents) to support the internal FID process of new renewable energy projects.Requirements5 years of experience in offsite PPA origination, including client outreach/origination, commercial process management and PPA negotiation;Proven capability to build relationships and manage in client facing settings;Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail;Strong presentation and communication skills, both written and oral, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and effectively;Outstanding interpersonal and collaborative skills at all organizational levels;Ability to function with a high degree of autonomy, proactive attitude and drive to get things done;Proficiency in Office is strictly required (Word, Excel and Power Point);Willingness to travel (mostly in-country).Degree in Finance/Economics/Engineering or a related field;Previous experience in energy trading, renewable project development, clean energy procurement and/or strategic consulting functions;Experience with working for large energy users or electricity retailers;Background in modeling or similar analytical roles;Ability to create interactive dashboards in PowerBI or similar digital tools.When you join EDP Renewables APAC, you will have access to:Professional experience in a leading global company in the renewables industry with flexible work conditions;Recognition through remuneration compatible with the role and other additional benefits;Opportunities for personal and professional development, e.g. cross-cutting projects, mobilities and volunteering.About EDP Group:As a socially responsible company, we incorporate our values and practices with the principles of Diversity and Inclusion.
