About the Role
As the Safety and Compliance Officer, you’ll play a key role in ensuring a safe and compliant environment for students and staff. Reporting to the Director of Safety & Compliance, your contributions will help shape the school’s safety strategies. From allocating online training to maintaining the hazard register, you’ll be involved in a variety of tasks that make a real impact on the school’s day-to-day operations.
Key Responsibilities include:
* Assist with policy updates and maintain the school’s hazard register
* Maintain an existing hazard register, ensuring yearly review timeframes are met
* Ensure staff compliance with mandatory training
* Oversee employee inductions, manage training allocation, and track completion
* Maintain an existing provider register, ensuring licences and certificate are up to date
* Provide monthly reports and quarterly inspections of emergency evacuation vests and walkie talkies
* Support key Risk and WHS committee meetings, including report preparation and minute-taking
About You!
You’re a proactive, organised individual with a passion for administration and a desire to develop your skills in safety and compliance. While previous experience in compliance is a plus, we’re looking for someone eager to learn and grow. You’ll bring strong skills in Microsoft Word and Excel, and most importantly, you hold (or are eligible to obtain) a valid Blue Card (Working with Children Check).
