Role DefinitionWe are actively looking to hire a Project Installation Engineer for offshore power cables projects in the Australian area, with experience in method statements/Installation procedures to cover the following:Act as a technical interface with the client for document preparationAct as technical point of contact for scopes of work within the projectReport to Installation Department outcome of meetings and technical discussionsCritically evaluates technical and contractual informationAnalyses and understands customer technical challengesDevelopment of technical design solutions against client scope of work.Fully grasps all engineering challenges and effectively utilizes engineering tools and techniques to overcome challenges as they occurDevelops technical procedures associated with installing cables in the offshore marine environmentEnsures that the engineering technical solution provision is best in class and effective with respect to cost, quality, and SafetyConfront with any potential subcontractor and/or end clients and/or authorities, to follow-up any comments on the installation documentation produced.Engineering including preparation of method statements for the following activities:Cable burial risk assessment (CBRA)Route EngineeringBurial assessment study (BAS)Survey worksCable installation worksPre-sweeping/ dredging worksMattress installation worksRock placement (rock dumping)Trenching worksCable pull-in at landfall and at offshore substationQualificationAutocad software experience is mandatory;Italian and English are mandatory;An advantage to having a Bachelor's or Master's Degrees in Engineering Technology or other Engineering related subjectsGood word processing skills;Surveyor background and GIS software experience are a plusConditionsRemote work is potentially possible with face-to-face meetings required approximately once per week in Melbourne.Visit to sites, located onshore may be requested.#J-18808-Ljbffr
