About the position
As we head into our busy function season, Wests currently have several casual opportunities for customer-focused individuals to join their NEX events team. This role will have you providing a superior quality service over a variety of events, such as gala dinners, corporate events, school formals, concerts, conferences, exhibitions, and many more. Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
1. Set up and break down of functions
2. Preparation and service beverages
3. Table service for meals and beverages
4. Operation of tills and cash handling
5. Clearing tables and cleaning duties
6. Assisting guests with event inquiries before, during and after functions
7. Working closely with the team to ensure smooth operations and a memorable experience for our patrons.
This position will require availability on Friday and Saturday evenings, with some availability throughout the remainder of the week.
Certifications required: RSA

About you
You are a team player that knows how to follow directions and think on your feet when needed. Ideal candidates will have prior experience within the customer service industry gained within a restaurant or function environment. You will have exceptional customer service skills, a positive and enthusiastic attitude, and the ability to retain your high standards in a busy position.
