The Role You'll Play
You'll be the Director, People & Culture Business Partnering, playing a pivotal role in our People and Culture Executive Leadership Team.
This role will see you working across our People and Culture community and our broader UNSW Community, embedding and bringing to life synergies with what we do day-to-day in People and Culture, and our overarching UNSW Strategy: 'Progress for All'.
You'll lead and continue to drive the evolution of our existing Business Partnering model, focusing on strategic partnering using data and insights to drive decisions.
You'll prepare for the future of work, strengthening culture and employee experience through coaching and empowering leaders to think differently.
Your Key Responsibilities
* Lead and continue to drive the evolution of our existing Business Partnering model
* Foster a high-performing, engaged UNSW workforce and community by integrating contemporary People and Culture practices
* Champion transformation across the University
* Work collaboratively with the Chief People Officer to shape the future of Business Partnering at UNSW
About You
We're seeking an innovative leader to develop strategies that foster engagement and drive meaningful, effective change where needed.
You'll have:
* Extensive experience as a Director of Business Partnering
* Experience in leading a strategic HR/P&C function, with a strong understanding of contemporary business partnering models
* Proven experience in transforming a P&C operating model, enabling strategic partnering and evolving partnership with the business
* Demonstrated ability to influence and build credibility with senior stakeholders to drive change and transformation
* Experience in leading and managing HR/P&C teams, fostering a collaborative and high-performing culture
* Strong expertise in workforce strategy, talent management, and organisational capability development
* A track record of implementing HR/P&C transformation initiatives that improve efficiency and employee experience
* Ability to navigate complex organisational structures and influence across a decentralised environment
* Deep knowledge of employment law, industrial relations, and HR best practices
* Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate insights into actionable strategies
* High level of emotional intelligence, communication, and negotiation skills
* Relevant tertiary qualifications in HR, Business, or a related field
