Reporting to the ICT Manager, this position is responsible for the day-to-day Audio Visual needs of the College, including general IT support for staff and students as well as supporting teachers with the effective use of technology in the classroom.
The Audio Visual and ICT Support Officer will be responsible for:
Audio Visual: Management and regular maintenance of all school and classroom audio visual technologies, such as interactive whiteboards, projectors, PA systems, and AV control systems. Managing sound and lighting for stage performances (Music, Drama, Musicals, Awards Nights, etc). Researching, developing, and implementing new audio visual technologies to promote effective learning outcomes in consultation with the ICT Manager. Providing technical support and guidance for existing classroom AV systems. Maintaining audio visual equipment in line with the annual schedule. Production of videos for college functions and events, where required. Providing technical AV audio visual support for staff for college productions. Training students and monitor the use of the AV desk during assemblies and other college events. Providing audio visual setup and support for internal and external customers, such as school functions, external hire functions, sporting events and other events on or off site, as required by the college, including live audio and video production and presentation management. Maintaining audio visual including the correct storage, setup and pack up as required by the college.Maintaining staff-facing documentation for each room's AV installation and best method of operation with standard staff equipment. ICT Support: Carrying out duties in relation to maintaining, installing, servicing computer and computer-related software and hardware, as directed.Maintaining an accurate list of ICT equipment, including audio visual enabled rooms (e.g. classrooms), and the cyclic upgrade of them. Maintaining the digital signage systems throughout the college. Developing and maintaining an annual maintenance and/or repair schedule for ICT equipment, including audio visual events and requirements.Prioritising and providing accurate ICT Helpdesk support for students and staff who require ICT assistance in relation to use of, and access to, school ICT resources. Collaborating with ICT colleagues on ICT issues that arise and possible solutions. Documenting and regularly report on the Helpdesk around classroom issues and processes. Managing a loan system to maintain school multimedia, camera and other AV equipment.Qualifications and Requirements: Successful applicants will have:
