If you are looking for a bright future and opportunity to grow your career, then join UGL – a great place to work!The OpportunityUGL Utilities team are currently looking for an experienced Commissioning Engineer to be based in our Perth office.Reporting to the Regional Commissioning Manager, some of your responsibilities will include:Preparing detailed commissioning procedures and schedules to ensure systems are tested and operational according to project requirements and safety standards.Performing functional testing, troubleshooting, and validation of electrical, mechanical, and control systems to confirm compliance with design specifications.Working closely with design engineers, construction teams, and project managers to address technical issues and ensure a seamless transition from construction to operation.Verifying that all equipment and systems meet industry regulations, safety guidelines, and client requirements, preparing documentation as necessary.Supporting site teams during commissioning activities, delivering training to operations staff, and handing over fully operational systems to the client.Providing HV switching support during energisation.About youA degree/Diploma in Engineering (electrical or related field) or a relevant qualification.Proven experience in commissioning Secondary systems and Primary equipment, particularly within utilities, energy or large scale infrastructure projects.Strong understanding of relevant Australian standards, safety regulations, and compliance requirements for high-voltage and transmission systems.Ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues efficiently, with a strong attention to detail during testing and validation processes.Excellent interpersonal skills to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, provide technical reports, and liaise effectively with clients and stakeholders.What makes you right for UGLAbility to provide a safe, supportive, and positive workplace.Empower a united and collaborative culture.Deliver technical excellence and create efficient, innovative solutions.Build an enviable reputation and the trust of employees, clients, and other stakeholders.Genuine concern for safety.About UsUGL is well-known and respected for providing end-to-end engineering, construction and maintenance services within rail and transport, communications and technology systems, oil and gas, power, renewables and resources, water and defence markets.
