A Northern NSW hospital requires a Senior Medical Officer in General Practice from 23/12/2024 to 31/01/2025.
SHIFTS:
Monday 23rd December 2024 0800 – 1800hours
Tuesday 24th December 2024 0800 – 1800hours
Wednesday 25th December 2024 0800 – 1800hours
Monday 27th January 2025 0800 – 1800hours
Tuesday 28th January 2025 0800 – 1800hours
Wednesday 29th January 2025 0800 – 1800hours
Thursday 30th January 2025 0800 – 1800hours
Friday 31st January 2025 0800 – 1800hours
There is no on call requirement.
The general medical and overnight surgical ward cares for acute and sub-acute patient care needs. The clinical team comprises of experienced nursing staff and a Medical Officer. The unit is supported by a pharmacist and allied health clinicians including: physiotherapists, occupational therapists, speech pathologists and social workers. The ward also caters for end-of-life patients and their families to provide patients with dignified, compassionate care, support by family and friends in a comfortable environment.
The Emergency Department provides a 24/7 service. The unit is staffed by a highly qualified team of Medical Officers, Emergency Specialists and Nursing staff.
The Doctor will be working as a Sole Practitioner covering the inpatient ward with direct telephone links to Lismore Base Hospital Specialists. The locum will be supported in the Hospital by very experienced Senior Nurses in the ward and ED staff.
