Sydney Ancillary Areas Permanent Our client is a leading FinTech that operates a trading platform for private company securities, including raising capital and full transaction management ensuring seamless execution from trading through to registry. They are looking for the next rising star for their business to take on a General Manager position working closely with the Chairman as well as the Group CEO, and be responsible for implementing their business strategy, managing operations and working with group sales and marketing to accelerate business growth We are looking for a person who: Can implement growth opportunities. Can drive the business to develop and implement its strategies and cross sell opportunities to the wider Group. Will drive capital raising opportunities from their Platform into the broker space and vice versa, via their current relationships and through further networking. Is responsible for strategically implementing unlisted trading opportunities into the Broker community Will be a key market and client facing representative for the business Works with business leaders across the group on business priorities and work together on joint opportunities within the group. Work with the Group CEO, Business Analyst’s, project managers and developers to derive and help implement new systems to drive productivity and technological improvement. Will work with the marketing team to ensure the marketing strategy is fit for purpose and adjustable to operations and market conditions and is aligned to the overall Group’s messaging and marketing plans. Is calm and thoughtful under pressure. Can think and articulate strategic ideas clearly. Key elements of the role involve: Full-time employment based in Sydney. Developing strong relationships with all key stakeholders (Group business leaders, investors, investor networks, issuers, stockbrokers, media, business partners etc.). Oversight of communications to all key stakeholders Provide business requirements and work with project teams for improvements to operations and technology. Developing and executing strategies, plans and policies (including overseeing budgeting). Working with sales team and marketing to execute opportunities and cross sell opportunities within the business and deliver on sales opportunities. Playing a crucial role in shaping the next chapter in their corporate story. Requirements Previous General Management, Senior level Strategy, Business Management or business leader experience with a high growth company or someone who believes they are ready to take the step into this position. Deep knowledge and experience in the securities and equity capital markets industry. An ability to inspire and motivate through communication. Detail orientated, commercially astute, reliable, and self-motivated. Proven expertise in planning and execution including responding to sector transformation, diversifying revenue streams and crafting solutions. A general knowledge of technology to drive efficiency and create new commercial opportunities. Experience growing an online global customer base. What the successful Candidate will need Project and staff management skills. Presentation and communication skills, both verbal and written. Corporate finance / ECM and securities trading expertise Advantageous to have strong relationships with stockbrokers and financial intermediaries in Australia.
