Qualifications & Experience
* Certificate III or IV in Disability desirable and/or related qualification.
* Disability work experience (minimum 6 months) or evidence that you are working towards the certificate.
* Experience in SIL supports.
* Experience in Positive Behavior Support.
* Certificate of NDIS Worker Orientation Module.
* Assist clients with medication certificate - essential.
* Certificate of Infection Control Certificate.
* Current First Aid and CPR certificate.
* Working with Vulnerable People Check with NDIS Endorsement.
* Valid Driver's License with access to an insured vehicle.
* Covid-19 Digital Vaccination Certificate or Immunization Statement.
* Strong cultural awareness is mandatory.
Additional Qualifications or Industry Experience
* Experience in Mental Health.
Tasks & Responsibilities
* This is a hands-on, person-centered role which includes working to promote independence, inclusion, and a strengths-based approach to developing skills and abilities and accessing the community. You will be providing positive, respectful, dedicated assistance with activities of daily living and domestic activities, community participation, skill building, etc.
* Work within the NDIS Code of Conduct.
* Providing Supported Independent Living.
* Work in accordance with care plans and NDIS goals.
* Work in accordance with all Elite Disability/Respite Care policies and procedures.
* Contribute to maintaining an effective and productive team.
* Assist in the development of independence, leading to increased choice and control.
* Maintain professional relationships with participants and with their families and stakeholders.
* Update participants' case/progress notes and documents as required.
