ADF Health Services provides integrated healthcare services to Australian Defence Force (ADF) personnel across Australia.
As part of this contract, Serco, in partnership with Bupa, provide defence-ready clinical and support staff across 50+ on-base locations nationally, ensuring that ADF personnel have access to quality on-site medical care.

About the Role
Join our team for an afterhours clinic to support our Australian Defence Force.
You will be responsible for delivery of primary medical care to patients in accordance with professional standards, legislation, and Defence Policies and Procedures.
You will form part of a multidisciplinary team working toward the shared purpose of achieving and maintaining the health and wellbeing of Defence members.
You will play an integral role in assessing Defence personnel for fitness for duty and in the provision of care that will support the health and well-being of members pre and post deployments.
You will be required to provide medical technical advice to the Joint Health Unit (JHU) Commanding Officer (CO), Joint Health Command (JHC) Health Centre Manager and Commanders of units.
You will be supported by a Team of Senior Medical Officers and uniformed colleagues.
You may be required to provide the services in either an outpatient setting or inpatient care setting within a ward.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
The highest levels of personal integrity and ethical behaviour.
Current unconditional and unrestricted registration as a Medical Practitioner, General in Australia with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP) OR, Fellowship of the Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine (FACRRM) OR Vocational Registration.
Minimum of 2 years full-time post graduate general practitioner experience in a general practice setting within the last 5 years (or part-time equivalent).
Recent participation in Continuous Professional Development (CPD) activities in accordance with AHPRA.
Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (HLTAID009) certification.
About ACT Health Centre
ACT houses Department of Defence Headquarters, Airforce Headquarters and Australian Defence Force Academy (ADFA) which is a tri-service military academy.
The ACT Health Centre opened mid-2021 and is a large facility.
It services approximately 7000 military personnel, including trainee officers from both ADFA and Royal Military College.
There is a 24-bed low dependency ward which operates 24/7.
Services provided include primary medical, aviation & underwater medical, nursing, dental, mental health, pharmaceutical and physiotherapy.
