An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Accounts Receivable/Credit Controller to join a dynamic team in the picturesque region of McLaren Vale. This part-time, 3-month contract role focuses on debt collection and chasing, with a low volume of invoicing. The successful candidate will thrive in a structured environment and be passionate about maintaining financial health through effective credit control.
What you'll do:
* Manage and oversee the accounts receivable process, ensuring timely collection of outstanding debts.
* Conduct regular reviews of customer accounts to identify overdue payments and proactively follow up to secure payment.
* Communicate effectively with clients via phone, email, and written correspondence to resolve payment issues and negotiate payment plans if necessary.
* Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all collection activities and customer communications.
* Collaborate with internal departments to address billing discrepancies and ensure customer satisfaction.
* Prepare and present regular reports on the status of accounts receivable and aging analysis to management.
* Assist with the reconciliation of accounts and support month-end closing activities as needed.
* Contribute to the continuous improvement of credit control processes and procedures.
What you bring:
* Proven experience in accounts receivable, credit control, or a similar role.
* Strong understanding of debt collection techniques and best practices.
* Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
* High attention to detail with strong organisational and time management abilities.
* Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
