Key Responsibilities As a Nurse Unit Manager, you will be responsible for the management of the Operating Rooms, Day Procedure Unit, Pre-Admission Clinic, C.S.S.D and their staff. Duties include, but are not limited to: Supervising and coordinating the activities of the nursing staff, ensuring adequate staffing levels, and promoting a positive work environment Assigning nursing care according to level of experience and patient dependency Maintaining an effective and ongoing Department Orientation Program Evaluating staff performance in accordance with position descriptions and Clinical Services Division policies The effective provision and management of resources, ensuring that necessary supplies, equipment, and medications are available to support patient care Selection Criteria Current unrestricted registration with AHPRA National Crime Check within the past 12 months Current Working with Children's Check Demonstrated leadership experience PGQ in Theatre Nursing, management or similar Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and interdisciplinary healthcare team members.
