Our client is seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Assistant Bookkeeper to support their experienced team. In this role, you will manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring accurate daily bank reconciliations, preparing wages, and managing superannuation figures. You will report directly to a Senior Bookkeeper, and collaborate closely to maintain accurate financial records and prepare various reports for clients. Regular weekly pay to ensure financial stability. Duties: Handle accounts payable and receivable tasks. Perform daily bank reconciliations without delays. Prepare employee wages and superannuation with precision. Conduct BAS preparations ahead of deadlines. Review aged receivables and payables weekly. Chase overdue payments through email and phone follow-ups. Update and filter data in spreadsheets and CSV files as required. Reconcile payments from various sources including bank and PayPal accounts. Skills and Experience: 1-2 years of experience in a similar bookkeeping role Familiarity with Xero and MYOB software essential. Ability to learn new software quickly and efficiently. Strong organisational and attention to detail skills. Proficient note-taking and documentation capabilities. Excellent written English communication skills. Ability to manage relationships effectively with clients. Knowledge of Xero Practice Manager and related systems is a plus.
