The enrolment number for the school is 94 students with 20% of students identifying as Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander and 9% of students whose first language is a language or dialect other than Standard Australian English.
The Assistant Principal Hearing (itinerant) is based at The Crescent School and is responsible for an administrative/teaching caseload within the Yass and Goulburn Network schools. Ability and willingness to travel between work sites.Specific Selection Criteria
In addition to the general selection criteria,
1. Approval to teach Hearing Impairment (Itinerant). Expertise in or willingness to train in Auslan and assistive communication systems and demonstrated experience teaching students from Early Intervention through to Higher School Certificate level.
2. Demonstrated ability to lead, supervise, evaluate, and mentor a team of Itinerant Support Teachers Hearing and an understanding of the administrative requirements for managing the itinerant role.
3. Proven experience in working with families, schools, and external agencies to build strong relationships with all stakeholders to promote positive outcomes for students.
4. Knowledge of the complex learning needs of students with hearing impairment and ability to deliver specific professional learning to the Itinerant Support Teacher Hearing team and school staff.

Knowledge of curriculum, assessment and student welfare with the ability to lead and design quality, inclusive teaching and learning programs 3. Well developed communication and interpersonal skills with the capacity to build relationships and engage students, staff and parents 5. Ability to plan and manage resources effectively and equitably to support teaching and learning 6. Knowledge of and commitment to the Department's Aboriginal education policies Conditions
An unconditional full approval to teach is a requirement. If you do not hold a full approval to teach with the NSW Department of Education, you are required to commence the at the same time as you apply for this teaching opportunity.
