Who You Are We're looking for a Resident Automation Technician to ensure the smooth operation of complex systems at two advanced logistics sites in the Adelaide area, supporting key clients in the wine production and packaging industries.The role involves a 12-month residency, split evenly across two facilities located approximately 20 minutes apart, both within the Adelaide region — around 6 months (22 weeks) at each site.
The rotation will follow a weekly schedule, typically alternating two weeks at each site, with planning agreed in advance between all parties.
Responsibilities Perform corrective maintenance and troubleshooting activities on the equipment to ensure efficiency.
Carry out preventive maintenance activities in accordance with maintenance plans.
Report on system performance and performed activities (including anomalies and corrective actions) to the Customer and E80 Group.
Build and maintain a strong relationship between the Customer and E80 Group based on trust, daily commitment, technical results and equipment's reliability.
Organize periodic meetings on E80 Group's system performance with the Customer's representatives.
Conduct periodic on-the-job training for the Customer's personnel.
Promote improvement activities, modifications, and extensions to the system or equipment, co-supervised by the Direct Manager and in agreement with the Area Manager.
Manage spare parts on-site, suggesting reorder points and purchases as needed.
Organize and manage the maintenance area, tools, and equipment available from E80 Group and/or the Customer.
Technical Requirements Technical qualification in the electromechanical field or industrial automation.
Good understanding of electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical drawings.
Previous experience as an electromechanical or transfer technician, electrician, or automation engineer, ideally in the manufacturing sector.
Ability to perform electromechanical work at heights and in confined spaces (after completing specific training).
Knowledge of Siemens PLC, Beckhoff, Allen Bradley, or Rockwell is not mandatory, but will be considered a plus.
Soft Skills Requirements Desire to make a difference and daily represent E80 Group in front of the Customer.
English (advanced or native level) with excellent communication skills.
Strong autonomy and proactivity.
Outstanding problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
Curiosity about learning new technologies.
Other Requirements UEE30820 Certificate III in Electrotechnology Electrician.
A-grade Electrical license.
Permanent rights to work in Australia, with no restrictions.
Valid driver's license and car owner.
