Led by a forward-thinking CFO, they continue to attract a team of high performing problem solvers.The long-term strategy is to continually move towards an enabling environment where manual processes are streamlined, and data is used to drive smart business decisions as well as implementing a new corporate services delivery model which has resulted in a wide range of opportunities including for an Assistant Accountant.The RoleKey responsibilities include:Support the preparation of monthly financial statements and balance sheet reconciliationsSupport period close activities including consolidation and general ledger reviewsSupport the processing of asset revaluations, adjustments, or write downsSupport the asset capitalisation processes including reconciliation, cost assignment and project close activitiesSupport the business in other general accounting requirements, such as the creation and processing of month end journals, accruals and provisionsSupport the Accountants and Accounting Team Leader with any internal or external audit requirementsAssist the Treasurer with Treasury payments, Treasury journals and Treasury reporting as instructed by the TreasurerThe Ideal PersonYou’ve recently graduated from university with a bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or commerce and have at least 2 years’ post-graduate experience whether that be in a tax and business services firm, another large commercial organisation doing accounting or as an external auditor.You likely have strong ambitions to complete your CA/CPA, have an interest in technical accounting, and are eager to engage with different stakeholders in the business.With the ability to learn quickly and a keen eye for detail, taking pride in producing high-quality work is important to you. While you can work independently, you enjoy collaborating with others in a supportive team environment where people care holistically.
