This high-visibility role supports the RBA’s Boards (Monetary Policy, Governance and Payments System). The role provides essential administration, coordination and liaison support at the highest standard of service. This role is part of the Secretary’s Department that provides secretariat and coordination services and advice on governance matters for the Governors, the Monetary Policy Board, the newly established Governance Board and its Audit and Risk and Remuneration Committees, the Payments System Board, and the RBA’s Executive Committee. It also provides legal services and coordinates a range of contacts with government, international organisations, and arranges programs for visitors. Experience in a high level supportive administration role, preferably assisting Boards and senior management. Knowledge of governance requirements relating to Boards of State Owned Corporations an advantage. Demonstrated ability to research issues and track action completion with minimal supervision. Ability to use a broad range of office technology, especially Microsoft Office Suite, databases and systems. Ability to adapt to change and think on your feet problem solve. You will be responsible for a diverse range of duties, including for the effective operation of the Board suite through efficient preparation for various types of meetings (arranging catering, organising meeting room set-up and coordination of attendees for Board meetings and meetings with high-level external participants). You’ll be involved in a variety of activities including: Supporting the functioning and running of the Monetary Policy Board, the Governance Board and sub-committees, the Payments System Board and the Executive Committee, by managing a broad range of administrative activities. Organising meeting schedules, issuing meeting invites and liaising with Board members and Executives regarding meeting logistics. Preparing agendas and correspondence. Coordinating the production and distribution of Board papers and other sensitive documentation. Maintaining Board and Committee records. Coordinating presentations for Board and Committee meetings. Prepare monthly allowances and quarterly remuneration payments for Board members, including liaising with the Finance function. To be successful in this role you’ll need: Advanced knowledge of MS Office tools, in particular Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Excel Experience in delivering under pressure, managing multiple tasks and often simultaneous deadlines Ability to work effectively as part of a team and contribute to changes to improve administrative effectiveness and efficiency Extensive experience supporting C-suite executives Diplomacy, tact and the ability to maintain confidentiality at all times Ability to adapt to rapidly changing circumstances Knowledge of TRIM software, SharePoint or equivalent environment would be desirable Be More Working for an organisation that truly makes a difference to the people of Australia, we can offer development and career opportunities in a collaborative environment that supports your growth, wellbeing and promotes flexibility.
