Qualified Mechanical Fitter with strong understanding of interference fit. Multiple roles both day and Arvo shift available. They also produce rail transportation including rail vehicles such as monorails, light rail vehicles, commuter/regional trains, high speed trains, and trams. Description The successful candidate will have a strong background in mechanical assembly with specific experience in interference fitting. The role will involve working on a variety of tasks related to the assembly, and repair of railway vehicle undercarriages. Key Responsibilities: Performing various mechanical fitting tasks including interference/ Press fitting. Read and interpret technical drawings. Conducting preventative and corrective maintenance on machines and equipments. Able to use precision measuring tools i.e., micrometres and Calipers. Adhere to safety protocols and workplace policies. Profile Qualified Fitter Turner, Toolmaker or Machinist. Strong problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and teamwork skills. Able to undergo pre-employment medicals, and other compliance.
