Key Responsibilities: Oversee complete payroll functions for a workforce of 1,000 employees, conducting fortnightly pay runs in collaboration with a team of four. Ensure all payroll processes comply with relevant laws and accurately interpret awards and enterprise agreements. Proactively identify and escalate potential payroll service issues to the Payroll Manager for timely resolution. Maintain expertise in current enterprise agreements, awards, HR practices, and relevant payroll-related topics such as salary packaging, fringe benefits tax (FBT), pay-as-you-go (PAYG) tax, workers' compensation, and time sheet management. Manage and uphold payroll procedures and operations in line with legislative requirements and organizational policies. Requirements: Experience with a bigger payroll system and intermediate Excel skills. Demonstrated experience managing the end-to-end payroll process from start to finish. Excellent verbal and written communication abilities. High level of adaptability to thrive in a dynamic work environment.
