The Head of Business Intake will be responsible for the following key areas: Providing strategic direction to the firm in the design and implementation of enhanced policies, systems and procedures for Business Intake aligned with industry best practice, including a robust AML/CTF Risk Assessment and Program and processes to ensure ongoing compliance with AML/CTF Laws and the firm's legal and professional obligations. Overseeing implementation of the firm's AML/CTF Program, including training and communications, engagement with key stakeholders, audits and regular review of the program. Managing all aspects of day-to-day Business Intake, including client and matter due diligence, AML/CTF risk assessments and engaging with stakeholders including partners, lawyers, other members of the Risk team and business service teams. Managing and supervising the firm's Business Intake Team, including advising on the appropriate composition and structure of the team aligned with the firm's needs and industry best practice and assisting with recruitment of new team members as required. The Head of Business Intake will work closely with key leadership and senior management to assist Corrs to achieve best practice Business Intake outcomes, and will assist with continual improvement and creating greater efficiencies aligned with the firm's legal and regulatory obligations and other firm considerations. The role may be the firm's AML/CTF Compliance Officer under AML/CTF Laws (or assist such officer with the performance of their duties, depending on seniority and experience). Experience: Strong previous experience in designing, managing and implementing key AML/CTF compliance programs, preferably in an international law firm. Experience of AML/CTF, KYC/CDD processes and systems such as Intapp Risk and other compliance risk platforms such as Orbis or World-Check, preferably in an international law firm. Intapp knowledge and experience is strongly preferred. Detailed knowledge of AML/CTF requirements and risks associated with the range of services in the legal industry. A bachelor degree or higher qualification preferred.A recognised AML/Compliance qualification is desirable but not essential. An experienced people manager who is able to adapt their management style to different individuals with at least 3 years' demonstrable experience of driving successful performance.
