Job Description The SHE Lead Specialist supports the Site Manager as the main administrator and coordinator of documentation, procedures, training and best practices in the realms of Safety, Health, Environment and Security. The role also provides support to other Managers and Supervisors on site in explaining, training and enforcing these requirements. Always displays and promotes positive safety behaviors, uses proper personal protective equipment, appropriate safety tools, equipment and procedures that ensure self and others go home safe each day; that area and equipment operate to highest safety levels, that all people in area (maintenance, quality, visitors, contractors, etc.) comply with safety directives and keep area neat and clean. Aware of, follows and is a role model for all dsm-firmenich SHE and Security Requirements, Standards and Guidelines. Acts in such a way that safety awareness and accident prevention are considered in performing all tasks. Works to SHE standards and encourages fellow colleagues to work to the same standards. Maintains area of responsibility in a clean and safe manner. Promptly cleans up work area. Maintain SHE and Security procedures. Ensure Job Safety Analysis are current for all existing and new activities. Assist in developing and implementing the site SHE and Security Plan. Provide information for the development of the annual SHE Budget. Prepare and provide SHE and Security training as requested by Site Manager. Effectively coach and develop line supervision to be effective SHE leaders/coaches in their respective roles. Support projects by reviewing plans and specifications as directed by Site Manager and support project owners executing PSSRs. Participate in investigations into safety incidents and near misses to minimize recurrence, prepares incident reports and share and learn flyers. Support and participate in safety and process safety risk assessments. The Successful Applicant You'll have tertiary education in a safety-related field (completed or nearing completion) and a willingness to pursue further qualifications in areas like Process Safety or Continuous Improvement. Strong communication skills are essential, and experience in manufacturing or roles involving safety application is highly regarded.
