We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Special Needs Teacher to provide one-on-one educational support for a 13-year-old girl. The role involves working in both a homeschooling program and home environment, with a focus on personalised learning and life skills development. Responsibilities:1. Homeschooling Guidance: - Provide individualised support and instruction within a homeschooling program for 2 days per week. - Develop and implement lesson plans that align with the student's learning goals and curriculum requirements. - Monitor and assess the student's progress, adapting teaching methods as needed to meet her needs. 2. Home-Based Learning & Excursions: - Work with the student in her home environment for 2 additional days per week, focusing on life skills, independence, and practical learning experiences. - Organise and participate in excursions that support the development of life skills, social interaction, and community awareness. Communication and Collaboration: - Maintain open and effective communication with parents and therapy providers, discussing the needs and goals of the child and ensuring a collaborative approach to her development. - Provide regular updates on progress, adjustments in learning strategies, and any additional support needed. Transportation:Drive the student to various learning activities and excursions, ensuring her safety and comfort during travel. Requirements: - Must hold a valid teaching license with specialisation or experience in special education.- Must possess a valid driver's license and be able to provide transportation as part of the role.- Must be of Catholic faith to support the student's religious upbringing.- Must be an Australian citizen with fluent English-speaking skills.- Previous experience working with special needs children is a MUST.
