About the Role
This is a key position in our organization, responsible for developing and growing relationships with corporate, philanthropic, and other partners to secure income generation, drive strategic value, and build non-financial support for our work.
You will:
* Assist with acquiring new government, corporate, and philanthropic partners through targeted prospecting, industry networking, and identification of new opportunities.
* Manage a portfolio of existing relationships with partners that provide financial, pro-bono, or in-kind support for Red Cross.
* Initiate, meet with, negotiate, and secure sustainable funding relationships.
* Support the development of high-quality pitches, funding proposals, and grants/tenders.
* Provide strategic advice on funding and sector trends and identify opportunities to ensure the organization is well-positioned to meet its business priorities.
You will establish and grow partnerships that deliver both financial and non-financial value for Red Cross.
Key Responsibilities:
* Research and acquire new partners who we can build long-term partnerships with as true business partners to deliver on strategy (revenue, pro-bono, advocacy).
* Screen potential partners, ensuring engagement and communication plans are developed and delivered.
* Facilitate a smooth transition of the relationship along the donor journey from acquisition to retention and growth.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will have:
* Sound knowledge gained through experience in a corporation or NGO in fundraising, business development, account management, sponsorship, or marketing.
* Excellent relationship-building skills with the ability to develop strong relationships with decision-makers of corporations and foundations.
* A strong understanding and demonstrated ability to coordinate and put together compelling quality pitches.
* Proficient in using data analytic tools.
* A good understanding of legal, financial, and ethical issues related to partnerships.
* Sound analytical and research skills and demonstrated ability to assess, evaluate, solve problems, and apply findings as appropriate.
