Job Description
We are seeking a Manager for our Research Funding Support team. This team plays a crucial role in accurately interpreting research contracts, setting up research projects in our finance systems, and resolving any contract ambiguities to ensure precise financial records. Additionally, the team is responsible for the accurate and timely invoicing of the University's External Research revenue.
This role is a unique opportunity to lead and inspire a team of professionals dedicated to research funding support. You'll manage resources, and drive excellence in every aspect of the team's work. With your strong leadership qualities, you'll build a positive and dynamic team culture that encourages collaboration and high performance, while effectively communicating with internal stakeholders and the broader finance team.
As the Manager, you will ensure that milestones and financial records are meticulously maintained throughout the project lifecycle, while also ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements. Your informed decision-making will be crucial in managing research funding effectively and supporting the University's research initiatives.

You will also have:
* A relevant postgraduate qualification, or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training.
* Extensive leadership experience is essential.
* Ability to set strategic direction for research funding support operations, managing resources and priorities effectively.
* Ability to interpret financial data, establish key performance indicators, and monitor financial integrity.
* Strong ability to consult, communicate, and collaborate interactively with colleagues across various departments.
What we can offer
This is a continuing, full time position primarily based at Griffith University Brisbane South (Nathan). As Griffith is a multi-site University you may be required to work across other locations.
Griffith University’s sites are located on the lands of the Yugarabul, Yuggera, Jagera, Turrbal, Yugambeh and Kombumerri peoples.
Salary Range
The full time equivalent base salary will be HEW Level 9 range $132,655 - $137,398 per annum + 17% superannuation. The total FTE package will be in the range $155,206 - $160,756 per annum.
