Every day, Wannon Water supplies water services to 34 towns and a population of over 100,000 residents, offering water, sewerage and trade waste services across South West Victoria. From the South Australian border to the Otways, the Grampians to the coast, Wannon Water's services take care of more than 30 communities, including residents, farmers, businesses and industries. Wannon Water is committed to delivering safe, reliable water and sewerage services, while also focusing on environmental sustainability, community support, and long-term infrastructure planning.
The Managing Director (MD) is responsible for partnering with a highly engaged Board to ensure Wannon Water continues to deliver on its strategic priorities. With a key focus of building on an already strong foundation, the MD leads the organisation to further enhance customer experience and strengthen liveability. It is a high-profile regional leadership position that has an active role engaging with a diverse range of stakeholders, including state government, regulators and the broader community, to build strategic partnerships that deliver enhanced commercial, community and environmental benefits. The MD has a strong focus on driving operational excellence in an increasingly regulated environment, ensuring that Wannon Water remains agile and adaptive to future environmental impacts. This includes investment across technology, cyber security and service operating models to drive resource optimisation and future financial sustainability. Importantly, the MD champions a strong culture of collaboration, inclusion and safety across all levels of the organisation. Additionally, they are a trusted advisor to the Board, providing considered and timely advice and leveraging Directors' diverse expertise and experience.
Regarded as a visionary executive leader, you have a proven record for building empowered teams, a commitment to creating diverse and inclusive workplaces, and a passion for regional communities. You will have significant experience leading either private or public organisations through complex change and growth within highly regulated and complex asset or infrastructure asset environments. You will be highly regarded for your resilient leadership and ability to effectively lead through ambiguity to drive outstanding customer service, operational excellence and effective asset management. You have an ability to advocate and engage with a diverse range of stakeholders, including community, government and regulators, to ensure both continuous innovation and climate resilient outcomes can be achieved. This will include demonstrated experience partnering at Board or Council level.
